"Chainsaw Man" is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto. The series began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in December 2018 and quickly gained popularity for its unique blend of horror, action, and dark humor. The manga concluded in 2020 with 97 chapters.
The story is set in a world where Devils, supernatural creatures that can be extremely dangerous, exist and pose a threat to humanity. The protagonist, Denji, is a young man living a difficult life while working as a Devil Hunter to pay off his late father's debts. Denji forms a contract with Pochita, a small Chainsaw Devil, after a tragic event. Pochita fuses with Denji, turning him into a hybrid being with the abilities of a Chainsaw Devil.
As Denji begins his new life as a Devil Hunter with enhanced powers, he becomes involved in various battles against other Devils and organizations. The story explores themes of survival, friendship, and identity, while also delving into the psychological and emotional struggles of the characters. The series is known for its intense and often graphic action scenes, as well as its unexpected plot twists.
"Chainsaw Man" gained a dedicated fan base for its unconventional storytelling and striking art style. Due to its popularity, it has been announced that the manga will receive an anime adaptation. As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, the anime adaptation had been announced, but I do not have information on its release or any developments that have occurred since then.
Chainsaw Man to naprawdę szalona historia! Pewnego dnia Denji, główny bohater, postanawia sprzedać swoje narządy, żeby spłacić długi swojego zmarłego ojca. Zamiast tego jednak zostaje zrekrutowany do specjalnej grupy zwalczającej demony, a jego pies, Pochita, staje się jego sercem i napędza go jako Chainsaw Man.
